A long-time Gloucester County, homebuilder was honored with the Builder of the Year Award in a ceremony as part of the 24th-annual Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence Awards hosted by the Builders League of South Jersey at the Merion Caterers in Cinnaminson.
Winfield Ziegenfuss, owner of Daniel Gregory, Inc. in Mullica Hill, was honored Wednesday for his steadfast support of doing business with local companies that are members of the Builders League.  His dedication to housing industry issues through his involvement in trade associations goes back decades.  Ziegenfuss served as the Builders League’s president 1991 and will take over the reigns for a second term next month. Earlier this year he was inducted into the Builders League Hall of Fame.
Established in 1985, the MAME Awards Program recognizes League members for superior work in design, building, merchandising, and the most creative advertising and marketing efforts used to promote South Jersey’s newest neighborhoods.
With more than 40 years experience in the construction industry, Ziegenfuss built his career from the ground up, starting as field supervisor and, eventually, holding top executive positions for two national builders and launching his own building and construction management company. His professional expertise is known for his hand-on experience in executive management positions in production purchasing and land development.
Founded in 1985 Daniel Gregory, Inc. has been providing construction management services to developers.  His work has included the construction of custom homes in Haddonfield and Mullica Hill, the construction of a 10,000 square foot two-story office building in Winslow Township and oversight of major renovations for individual homeowners. The company has developed lots for other builders and provided consulting services specializing in environmental issues and Clean Water Act compliance to Ryland Homes.

  •   January is not a big month for “don’t miss” events, But it is home to one of, if not “the,” premier events of the year—the State Chamber’s annual “Walk to Washington.”
The tradition began in 1937 when several of the state's top business executives took a train to Washington to have dinner with New Jersey's congressional delegation. The rest is history. The Walk to Washington obtained its name when participants realized that few sit on the train; they literally walk the train mingling and exchanging business cards the whole way to Washington.
