J.S. Hovnanian & Sons Honored With 18 SAM Awards

  J.S. Hovnanian & Sons was recently honored for their innovative homes and creative marketing during the New Jersey Builders Association’s 22nd Annual Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards gala, winning a total of eighteen awards for their Villages at Aberdeen and Siena communities.
  Presented during the 60th Annual Atlantic Builder Convention, the highly-coved SAM awards recognize excellence in residential design and marketing programs within New Jersey and are given in more than 80 categories.
  According to NJBA President Stephen A. Patron, “The NJBA SAM Awards are regarded as the most prestigious program for new homes sales and marketing achievement within New Jersey, honoring builders and associates who have made major contributions to the home building industry."
  J.S. Hovnanian & Sons’ Villages at Aberdeen community - a collection of ranch style and twin homes in a multi-generational neighborhood located in the Borough of Clayton in Gloucester County - was honored with the most prestigious award of the evening, Community of the Year, for its category along with the following SAM awards:
  •       Best Logo Design for an Adult Community
  •       Best Sales Office 800 Square Feet or Less
  •       Best Interior Merchandising For An Adult Community with an Average Base Sales Price Under $350,000
  The company’s Siena community - an active-adult condominium community in Cinnaminson, which features 3-story elevator serviced buildings - was also honored with SAM awards for the “Best Color Magazine Ad” and the “Best Sales Office for an Adult Community.”
  This is the second time both communities have been honored with sales and marketing awards.  Last year, the Villages at Aberdeen won “Best Active-Adult Home Community” and Siena Community won “Best Condo/Flat Home Community” by the MAME (Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence) awards presented by the Builders League of South Jersey. 
  “We’re thrilled to receive SAM awards for our Villages at Aberdeen and Siena communities,” said Stephen Hovnanian, principal of J.S. Hovnanian & Sons.  “It’s an honor to be named the best in the state by our peers.  We continuously strive to offer the most innovative product to our buyers, and our industry has clearly taken notice,” he added.
  For over 45 years, J.S. Hovnanian & Sons has maintained a tradition of building excellence, providing the best quality construction and customer service for its homeowners and is ranked as the most award-winning private builder in New Jersey’s history as it relates to receiving the Community of the Year and Commitment to Excellence awards.  No other builder in the NJBA has been recognized with this many honors.

  • NexGen Aviation Research Tech Park at Pomona Leading the Way in Modernization of National Airspace System

       The mission of the Next Generation Aviation Research Park (ARTP) is to promote sustained economic growth and job creation throughout New Jersey and the nation by implementing and operating a cooperative, state-of-the-art aviation Research Park that will support the evolution of the Next Generation aviation environment.
       At full build out, the Park will include seven multi-story buildings with a total of over 400,000 square feet of laboratory and research space located on the campus of the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center which is the nation’s leading air transportation Federal Facility.

  • SNJBP Datebook: January 2012

      January is not a big month for “don’t miss” events, But it is home to one of, if not “the,” premier events of the year—the State Chamber’s annual “Walk to Washington.”
      The tradition began in 1937 when several of the state's top business executives took a train to Washington to have dinner with New Jersey's congressional delegation. The rest is history. The Walk to Washington obtained its name when participants realized that few sit on the train; they literally walk the train mingling and exchanging business cards the whole way to Washington.
