The Aviation Research and Technology Park broke ground on a seven-building, multi-million dollar project that will create over 2000 jobs and diversify the regional economy.
Federal, state and local officials joined with Dr. Herman J. Saatkamp, Jr., Chairman of the Board of Trustees, in breaking ground for the Park. Ambassador William J. Hughes, United States Senator Robert Menendez, Congressman Frank LoBiondo, Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson, SJEDD Executive Director Gordon Dahl, CRDA Executive Director Thomas D. Carver, and NJ DOT Commissioner Stephen Dilts all participated in the groundbreaking ceremonies.
